How it works

  1. 1Paste a complete passageUse your own paragraphs or try our 48-point reading. Keep the conditions and explanations that each answer needs.
  2. 2Confirm the source pointsChoose a sentence, copy an answer phrase, and write a recall question. Check and edit each point before starting.
  3. 3Recall, check, and reviewAnswer in groups of up to five. Compare your recall with the original passage, mark gaps for review, and continue with the next group.

From a short passage to a quiz question

This is a written example, not a saved AI result. QuizGen uses the text you paste; the questions and wording will vary.

Studying a subject without a passage? You can make practice questions from a topic by describing your level and the concepts you want to cover.

Example passage

A town library lends books for 14 days. A reader can renew a book once for another 14 days, unless someone else has reserved it. Reference books stay in the library and cannot be borrowed.

Example multiple-choice question

Maya has borrowed a book for 14 days. Another reader has reserved it. What does the passage say Maya can do?

  1. Renew it once for another 14 days
  2. Return it when the loan ends
  3. Keep it as a reference book

Answer: B, return it when the loan ends. The reservation prevents renewal. The passage gives reference books a separate rule: they cannot be borrowed.

Give each question enough source material

Paste one section with complete sentences and the details you want to remember. In the library example, removing the reservation rule would change the answer. Keep exceptions, dates, and definitions when you shorten a reading.

The box holds up to 20,000 characters, including spaces and your instructions. Check that the last sentence of your passage fits. For a longer reading, split it by section or use the PDF to quiz upload.

If you copied a web page, remove menus and unrelated recommendations. See article to quiz for article input guidance. Read every generated answer alongside your original passage before using the quiz to study.

Optional: use AI to generate a separate quiz

This separate generator sends the material you enter to QuizGen’s AI service. Its existing free-use limits apply. Your local practice material is not copied into it.

How much text can I paste?Local practice accepts up to 100,000 characters and 100 source points. Longer input is rejected in full. The separate AI generator accepts up to 20,000 characters. Split long readings into complete sections.
Does the free tool understand or grade my passage? You choose the source sentences, copy the answer phrases, and confirm the questions. The tool checks that each phrase occurs in its source. After recalling an answer, compare the full source and rate it yourself. It does not automatically judge meaning.
Can I keep getting new questions from one paragraph? Each confirmed point provides recall and gap practice of the same idea. Groups avoid nearby repeats when enough points remain.
