How it works

  1. 1Choose a notebook photoView a PNG, JPG, or WebP image locally. Enlarge or rotate it to read each line. The free practice tool does not automatically read handwriting.
  2. 2Check each page’s wordsType or paste the transcription. Correct missing lines and misread words against the image, then confirm each page. Choose source sentences and copied answers.
  3. 3Recall, compare, and retryAnswer without looking, reveal the source, and rate your recall. Continue to the next group or retry missed points. Refresh to restore checked text and progress in this tab.

Keep the photo and the answer in agreement

Flatten the notebook, light the page evenly, and photograph one page at a time. Before confirming its transcription, check small words, numbers, units, and missing lines against the image.

Each practice point keeps its page label, source line, and copied answer. If a word changes, edit the transcription in the photo panel and confirm it again. That clears previous questions and answers so the next group uses the corrected source.

The six-page example contains 36 original points from a fictional school fieldwork notebook. Its images are digitally lettered samples with matching transcriptions. They demonstrate checking and practice, not handwriting recognition accuracy.

Questions people ask

Can I turn handwritten notes into a practice test for free?Yes. Choose photos, transcribe and check the words, then confirm source questions. Recall, gap questions, and missed-point review run in this tab without an account or an AI request. You rate your own answers.
Does the free tool read my handwriting automatically? No. It shows your photos while you type or paste and correct the transcription. The optional AI generator is a separate path with its existing limits. Local photos and practice text are not copied into that generator.
Can I use multiple pages or hand written notes in another language?Use up to 12 pages, with a label and checked transcription for each. Choose PNG, JPG, or WebP files up to 20 MB each. You can write questions and self-rate answers in any language. There is no automatic semantic grading.
Are my notebook photos saved after a refresh?Your own photos are only held in memory and must be selected again after a refresh. Checked text, source questions, and answers stay in this browser tab when session storage is available. Closing the tab ends that storage. Built-in notebook samples remain available.
