How it works

  1. 1Add your textbook sectionName the chapter and page or section range. Paste definitions, formulas and worked steps, or try one of two original lessons with 20 practice points each.
  2. 2Check the source and solutionChoose complete source paragraphs. Write a concept question or worked-step question, then check its answer and solution evidence. Keep symbols, units and conditions from the source.
  3. 3Recall and check each stepConfirm the questions and recall their answers. Reveal the source to self-rate, continue to the next group, or retry questions that need review. Add another section for new material.

Keep the formula and its conditions together

The linear relationships lesson covers substitution, changes in output, a cooling model and a delivery fee. The ratios lesson covers mixtures, unit rates, unit conversion and scale drawings. Each has 20 questions linked to complete source blocks and checked solutions.

For your textbook section, keep the known values, the quantity to find, substitution and calculation in the source. Preserve symbols and units when copying. A negative change is not a final value; a length scale is not an area scale. Use the solution note to explain a likely mistake.

Recall the answer before opening its source. Check each step and rate your recall yourself. These finite lessons support review; 40 questions do not establish 20 minutes of real practice or cover your course.

Reading a novel for class?

For character choices and events in a reading assignment, the book quiz generator offers complete short chapters and free questions linked to their evidence. Use this textbook page for course concepts and worked examples.

Optional: use AI to generate a separate quiz

This separate generator sends the material you enter to QuizGen’s AI service. Its existing free-use limits apply. Your local practice material is not copied into it.

Questions people ask

Is textbook quiz practice free?Local section practice is free without an account. Write questions, hide answers, check solutions, and retry them here. Drafts and progress survive a refresh in this tab when session storage works. The separate optional AI generator keeps its existing free-use limits, including five questions for an anonymous trial.
Can I use a chapter PDF or page photos? The separate optional AI generator accepts a PDF or clear PNG, JPG, or WebP images. Local practice uses text you paste; it does not scan pages or read files automatically. Your local section text is not copied into the AI generator.
Does QuizGen automatically grade calculations? No. In local practice you compare your answer with the source and rate it yourself. For worked examples, check the known quantities, the quantity to find, substitution, arithmetic and units. The tool checks source locations and copied concept answers; it does not verify mathematical equivalence or fix a wrong formula.
Will the practice cover a whole textbook? You choose the section and write its questions. The two original lessons contain 40 distinct points about linear relationships, ratios and unit conversion. Later groups become review after you try every question. Editing source text removes its old questions and practice so you can check and confirm new evidence.
